Orlando's vacation home resorts are within a day trip of both Florida coasts, the Kennedy Space Center and several other theme parks. LEGOLAND Florida in Winter Haven is the closest, about 28 miles from Walt Disney World and closer still to the Hwy 27 and Champions Gate resorts. Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral are all roughly 55 to 60 miles east on the Atlantic coast. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach are to the west, and Daytona Beach is to the northeast. Guests who plan a beach day or a cruise around their park days tend to book longer stays.
