  Can You Rent a Solterra Resort Home on Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes. Solterra is zoned for short-term rentals, so owners can rent their home by the night or week on Airbnb, Vrbo or through a vacation rental manager. A short-term rental, or STR, is a home rented to vacationers for short stays rather than on a long-term lease. Many Orlando-area neighborhoods do not allow it; Solterra does.

Most buyers use the home for a family trip or two a year and rent it the rest of the time. The range of home sizes, from 4-bedroom townhomes to 10-plus-bedroom estate homes, lets investors pick a home for the group size they want to rent to.

  What Are Solterra Resort Homes Like?

Solterra has been built in phases since 2013, including the Oakmont section, with townhomes and single-family homes from several builders. Townhomes typically have 4 or 5 bedrooms and about 2,100 to 2,500 sq ft. Single-family homes run from about 2,500 sq ft to large estate homes of 6,000 sq ft or more with 10 or more bedrooms. Most homes and townhomes have a private pool, and many owners have added a game room or theater.
