  Can You Rent a Solara Resort Home on Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes. Solara was planned as a short-term rental resort, so owners can rent their home by the night or week on Airbnb, Vrbo or through a vacation rental manager. A short-term rental, or STR, is a home rented to vacationers for short stays rather than on a long-term lease. Many Orlando-area neighborhoods do not allow it; Solara does.

Most Solara buyers use the home for a family trip or two a year and rent it the rest of the time. Large homes with themed bedrooms and game rooms, plus the resort's FlowRider and pool complex, help listings stand out to big families and groups.

  What Are Solara Resort Homes Like?

Solara was built by Mattamy Homes from 2018 on. Homes range from 4- and 5-bedroom townhomes of about 2,000 to 2,300 sq ft to single-family pool homes with 6 to 9 bedrooms and up to about 4,800 sq ft. Every home has a private pool, and larger homes often include a game room or home theater. Each home is individually owned and decorated, so no two are exactly alike.
